‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ is one of the world’s most well known and well loved songs.

The single has been covered by everyone from Kanye West during his 2015 controversial Glastonbury headline slot, Axl Rose, Elton John and Pink to The Flaming Lips and Elaine Paige and forever immortalized again by Mike Myers and Dana Carvey in the smash hit 90’s film, Wayne’s World.

This clip, produced by Queen Official, runs 44:29 and provides some of the back story of the song from the band itself.

Ok, stay with me here: after Ronnie James Dio died, the other founding members of his band DIO formed Last In Line as a touring tribute to the man and his first 3 albums. Additionally, non-founding members of DIO formed a touring band called DIO Disciples, and there's considerable bad blood between the two.

Pop group ABBA have returned to the studio to record their first new music since the 1980s. The Swedish quartet said the new material was an "unexpected consequence" of their recent decision to put together a "virtual reality" tour. "We all four felt that, after some 35 years, it could be fun to join forces again and go into the studio," the band said on Instagram. "And it was like time stood still."

John Fogerty claims he wrote “Fortunate Son” in just 20 minutes. But the music he made with Creedence Clearwater Revival has soundtracked visions of the Vietnam War in pop culture for what feels like an eternity.

Here is a pretty short "making of" clip.

"Harvest" is the fourth album by Canadian musician Neil Young, released on February 14, 1972. It featured the London Symphony Orchestra on two tracks, while noted guests David Crosby, Graham Nash, Linda Ronstadt, Stephen Stills, and James Taylor contributed vocals. It was the best-selling album of 1972 in the United States. After Neil Young left Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, he recruited a group of country session musicians and recorded a country rock record in Harvest. The record was a massive hit, producing a US number one single in "Heart Of Gold". Other songs returned to some usual Young themes: "Alabama" was "an unblushing rehash of 'Southern Man'"; and "The Needle And The Damage Done" was a lament for great artists who had died of heroin addiction. The album's success caught Young off guard and his first instinct was to back away from stardom. He would later write that the record "put me in the middle of the road. Traveling there soon became a bore so I headed for the ditch. A rougher ride but I saw more interesting people there."

I'm no connoisseur, but I think this guy has done a pretty good job of taking some very non-Ozzy songs and Ozzifying them.

(sung to the tune of Bye Bye Blackbird)
When I lived in Houston in the mid 80's there was a shock jock who sang this song to open up his morning drive show at 6am. His name was Moby in the Morning. The last I checked, he's still doing his act but in Tennessee. Fun for my Vol friends.
