Shooting Your Mouth Off, "Remington"? Not Any More
David Ogden Stiers, known for his role as Major Charles Emerson Winchester III in the TV comedy series "M*A*S*H," died Saturday, the agency representing him said.

The actor was 75.

He died "peacefully at his home in Newport, Oregon after a courageous battle with bladder cancer," the MKS Talent Agency tweeted.

"His talent was only surpassed by his heart," the agency added.
FYI, the "Remington" comment was from an episode where Hawkeye ridiculed the character's surname.

His impassioned plea to the pianist that had lost the use of his hand is one of the finest moments of the series in my book. Winchester's line of 'I can play the notes, but I can't make the music' resonates with me in an extremely nerdy way.

I'll second that thought. I was also moved by his compassion for the boy that had a stutter.
