MP Select Mini - the $200, ready-to-go 3D printer
Cost and difficulty of setup have, to date, kept me from getting a 3D printer. I can think of like a bazillion things I'd do with one if they weren't such a pain in the ass to get going and keep alive. Monoprice is now offering something that appears to allay my concerns: the Select Mini 3D Printer. All it needs is minor calibration out of the box (you have to level the heated bed) and you can print with a variety of materials from a micro SD card or your computer via USB. Beyond nifty and cheap enough to take a gamble on, I may pull the trigger on this one.
