The Garrison Keillor of cooking shows is leaving
Christopher Kimball, the face of the public television show "America's Test Kitchen" and of the magazine Cook's Illustrated, is leaving the company he helped found after a contract dispute.

I'm saddened. There are a lot of cooking shows that I really do not like. America's Test Kitchen was one of the exceptions. I wish Kimball well in his next venture.

Completely agree, ATK and Cook's Country are my favorite cooking shows from any network. As educational as Alton Brown without all that Alton Brown, folksy as the Prairie Home Companion, and I'm always waiting for Jack Bishop to take a swing at Kimball resulting in a flinchy-flailing slapfight.

We get another season that I guess in already in the can. Hopefully they'll give Bridget the lead.
