...and you can bet the rent that I've been watching with frothy glee. Kill Screen Daily explains why last week's bout between Wrecks and Plan X is a perfect metaphor for Battlebots itself, and how the show - and sport - has matured during its' 14-year hiatus.

The late, great Phyllis Diller was an aspiring young comic when she appeared on You Bet Your Life in 1958. Groucho thought she was very funny, and the appearance proved to be a big boost to her career.

Mafia hit men out for revenge. Drew Barrymore stripteases. Beer-guzzling camels. Madonna high on 'endo.' It was all in a day’s work in his first job out of college. These are Daniel Kellison's memories of working for David Letterman in the 1990s.

Last show's tonight, kids. Drink a coffee and stay up with me.

So I was watching Celebrity Jeopardy this past week and was struck with how freakishly different Jillette looked when he was on. Turns out it's because he lost a hundo at a dangerously fast pace so he could get off his blood-pressure meds.

The late Gilda Radner reprises her role as Baba Wawa on SNL. Being that Barbara Walters is retiring, a whole generation will have no idea who she is.

While Marvel may be dominating the entertainment biz these days, DC isn't quite out of the picture just yet - dig this preview of their upcoming Supergirl series on CBS. Looks fun.

Is Amy Schumer hot enough to be on TV? The question is examined through the lens of a near shot-for-shot parody of the timeless 1957 Lumet film.

Further proof that I'm old, I watch a lot of PBS - enough that I feel guilty about not supporting my local station recently - and one of my favorite shows on it is America's Test Kitchen. I'm actually watching it right now as I'm posting this on the TV over my desk. Anyway, this tour of the show (which turns out to be much, much more than just a TV show) is a fascinating watch if you're a fan.

CJ A Glover has laid out his vision of the final season for The Big Bang Theory by episode synopses. Not the way I would end the show if it was my call, but very dead-on and plausible... and an entertaining read if you're a fan.

Robotic combat is coming back to the small screen after a 12-year hiatus. Hopefully that interim has allowed technology to advance in ways that will be seen on the show.
