If you choose to believe in the biblical story of Noah and his righteous family, I am not telling you not to. However there are such stories of The Great Flood from nearly every culture around the world. Most include a forewarning and building a big boat to house all the animals of the Earth. Mark Isaak composed this list at the turn of The 21st Century and it's still online for all to read. The references and documentation are pretty flawless.

The followers of the Flying Spaghetti Monster (whose bread and butter is asking what makes their religion any different than, say, yours) have a rich history of taking their drivers license photos sporting a pasta strainer on their head; freedom of expression with religious headwear dictates that if you can wear a hijab, you should be able to wear a colander. Up until now, it's been all fun and games and lighthearted education on the nature of religion.

In Russia, however, the state is calling the bluff. Moscow's State Traffic inspectorate has now dictated that any Pastafarians pulled over while NOT wearing their colanders will lose their license. Touche'.
