Not so good for protecting your head in collision with ice. Robert Atkins, the founder of the Atkins Diet, died today. Oddly enough had he been wearing some meat and cheese around his head he would have survived.

A veteran character actor who appeared in numerous films and television shows including the prison drama "The Green Mile" and sitcom "Evening Shade" has died. Michael Jeter was found dead in his home in Los Angeles Sunday, according to his publicist Dick Guttman. Jeter was 50.

Apart from being HIV positive, Jeter was in good health, Guttman said.

Apart from being in everything under the sun, they listed the motherfucking Green Mile and Evening Shade as his acting credits.
